IBF develops a quality assurance system[ IBF Quality Assurance system (Trial version)] for enhancing students learning and promoting an effective management. This system follows the guidance of international standards of higher education.
◆ Roles and Responsibilities
IBF quality assurance system follows a total quality philosophy, which involves everyone in IBF and covers processes at all levels. Both external and internal quality assurances are considered.
External quality assurance system includes BNUZ's senior management team, BNUZ academic committee, BNUZ teaching guidance committee, and external advisory committee, which includes members from a variety backgrounds, experience and sectors.
Internal quality assurance system involves Faculty senior management team, Faculty teaching quality assurance committee, heads of academic departments, course coordinators, course instructors, other functional departments and all students.
◆ Quality Assurance System
IBF's quality assurance system has three levels, and they are University and Society, Faculty, and Departments (see Fig. 1).
University and Society are the external monitors for quality assurance activities. University's senior management team is responsible for faculty's quality assurance. Advisory Committee provides quality guidance and consultation in numerous ways. University Academic Committee and Teaching Guidance Committee provide quality criteria and consultation.
IBF is the liability body for its quality assurance. Teaching Quality Assurance Committee is responsible for quality inspection, assessment, feedback and guidance, and it is supported by two faculty committees.
On the operational level, both academic departments and functional departments are responsible for carrying out quality activities on a daily basis.
