  The Quality Assurance Agency for higher education("QAA"), established in 1997, is an independent fund aimed at safeguarding standards and improving the quality of UK higher education wherever it is delivered around the world. QAA checks that students working towards a UK qualification get the higher education they are entitled to expect. QAA is an independent body, a registered charity and a company limited by guarantee. It works across all four nations of the UK to assure the quality of higher education. QAA also supports quality assurance systems worldwide.Its activities range from reviewing standards and quality in universities and colleges to producing key sector guidance.
